Retirement (Check The Date)

Doubtlessly Judd Winick and Scot Kurtz will be glad to hear this news. I hope the rest of you won't be.

I quit.

Blackest Night #8 was so lackluster and Cry For Justice/Fall of Green Arrow so sub-par that I've lost what little love I have left for DC Comics. And since it is rather hard to do a comics review blog when you don't read anything else except Conan and Knights of the Dinner Table... well, it's difficult.

So I'm closing down Looking To The Stars, effective immediately.

So long and thanks for all the fish, folks.

  3. I was all confused and was like "that's weird, he seemed to like BL okay before." And I've only now just realized what day it is.

  4. If you'd said this yesterday, it would have had greater credibility ;)

  5. About time, good riddance, don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya, there's no return from 86. BUH BYE!

  6. I could tell by the last few reviews that you just weren't putting in any effort anymore. Granted the quality of what you offer here was always sub par so it was almost imperceptible. It's obvious that you haven't been paying attention for awhile either. I mean come on! You didn't think the whole Sinestro becomes the white lantern was telegraphed months ago?
It's better that you ended this farce now.

  10. See, I thought I might get a few of the international readers. I'd never hoped to confuse any of my American readers.

  12. Well, okay. Soon as there's a new Jon Sable, I'll probably read that too.

  14. Hate to disappoint you, but like The White Lanterns, I have risen anew.

  15. Thank you. I didn't expect this one to actually snare anyone. I didn't put nearly as much effort into this as I did my annual jokes at Comics Nexus.

It should. I'm not really retiring.
The whole thing was an April Fool's Day prank.
