Doubtlessly Judd Winick and Scot Kurtz will be glad to hear this news. I hope the rest of you won't be.
I quit.
Blackest Night #8 was so lackluster and Cry For Justice/Fall of Green Arrow so sub-par that I've lost what little love I have left for DC Comics. And since it is rather hard to do a comics review blog when you don't read anything else except Conan and Knights of the Dinner Table... well, it's difficult.
So I'm closing down Looking To The Stars, effective immediately.
So long and thanks for all the fish, folks.
UPDATE: For those of you outside the USA, http://www.infoplease.com/spot/aprilfools1.html
I'm not glad. I loved talking to you about comics.
ReplyDeleteHappy April Fools to you, too. :)
ReplyDeleteI was all confused and was like "that's weird, he seemed to like BL okay before." And I've only now just realized what day it is.
ReplyDeleteIf you'd said this yesterday, it would have had greater credibility ;)
ReplyDeleteAbout time, good riddance, don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya, there's no return from 86. BUH BYE!
ReplyDeleteI could tell by the last few reviews that you just weren't putting in any effort anymore. Granted the quality of what you offer here was always sub par so it was almost imperceptible. It's obvious that you haven't been paying attention for awhile either. I mean come on! You didn't think the whole Sinestro becomes the white lantern was telegraphed months ago?
ReplyDeleteIt's better that you ended this farce now.
I got scared for a second. Nice one.
ReplyDeleteWait, isn't there still some Grell stuff you're following?
ReplyDeleteThank you. :)
ReplyDeleteSince when have I ever worked at being credible? :)
ReplyDeleteSee, I thought I might get a few of the international readers. I'd never hoped to confuse any of my American readers.
ReplyDeleteWell, good news. I'm not really going.

Well, okay. Soon as there's a new Jon Sable, I'll probably read that too.
ReplyDeleteHa! Like the White Lanterns I have arisen anew.
ReplyDeleteHate to disappoint you, but like The White Lanterns, I have risen anew.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I didn't expect this one to actually snare anyone. I didn't put nearly as much effort into this as I did my annual jokes at Comics Nexus.
ReplyDeleteNone of us have. It works just fine as it is :P
ReplyDelete*deep breath* NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
ReplyDeleteWoo!
ReplyDelete(I don't mark the day, so congrats! You really got me)
Dude, I'd read one good thing one bad thing about your favorite comics from years ago. Don't give up!
ReplyDeleteMan Man! I AM A MAN! *punch*
ReplyDeleteretirement
ReplyDeleteHappy retirement! Thanks for the insightful reviews and storylines. Hope all goes well for you.
I'm not. :)
ReplyDeleteApril Fool's!
Re: retirement
ReplyDeleteIt should. I'm not really retiring.
The whole thing was an April Fool's Day prank.
Well, I thought I might snare a few non-Americans with this stunt.
