Just so we're clear, the rumors of my retirement were greatly exaggerated. The announcement last Thursday regarding my retirement was an April Fool's Day prank.
I guess I should be thankful that five days after April Fool's Day and after altering the original posting to say "It Was All A Joke", I'm STILL getting e-mail from people begging me to come back or wishing me well in retirement. :)

I figured out it was a joke right away. I hope that was obvious by my comments.

To be fair, "This comic was so bad I QUIT COMICS FOREVAR!" is a pretty common thing to hear on the internets these days. :)

ReplyDeleteAnd you're right. I wouldn't. Not unless I were planning to do it next year and the joke was that I really WAS retiring while trying to make everyone think it was a joke. :)
Well, keep in mind that not EVERY nation in this great big world celebrates April Fool's Day or an equivalent day dedicated to foolish behavior and pranks.
