In which I finally DO beat the secret boss fight, discover it doesn't make any real difference in the grand scheme of the game's ending and possiby discover a bug or a change between game editions. Either way I'm stuck with a pile of books I can't shelve and an even more anti-climactic ending to this series. Oh well!
