Starman Plays Gabriel Knight: Sins Of The Fathers (20th Anniversary Edition) - Part 15

The thrilling conclusion! In which we infiltrate the secret Voodoo crime cartel's temple and indulge in some more petty theft because - hey - this is Gabriel we're talking about. I also reveal not one, not two  but all three endings to the game!

Starman Plays Gabriel Knight: Sins Of The Fathers (20th Anniversary Edition) - Part 14

In which we set about becoming a fully-sworn Schattenjagger by performing a sacred ritual using a chamberpot.

From there, we move on to the shortest day and easiest puzzle in the game - made longer and more annoying by the inclusion of a sliding puzzle in this special edition.

Finally, we journey to Africa and face a all-too-brief family reunion with our awesome uncle - The Third Doctor! (Okay, not really. But he sure does LOOK like Jon Pertwee!)

Starman Plays Gabriel Knight: Sins Of The Fathers (20th Anniversary Edition) - Part 13

In which we finally get some straight answers from Uncle Wolfgang, commit an unexpected act of grave robbery whilst in the middle of an expected act of grave robbery and travel to Germany, where - unlike in the original game - the ancestral castle is not being tended to by some woman in a Bavarian peasant wench outfit.

Starman Plays Gabriel Knight: Sins Of The Fathers (20th Anniversary Edition) - Part 12

In which we plan to sneak into a secret voodoo cult meeting, make use of two secret voodoo codes we somehow conned our way into learning and we get to experience the most creepy and simultaneously funny glitch in the game.

Starman Plays Gabriel Knight: Sins Of The Fathers (20th Anniversary Edition) - Part 11

In which we prove our worthiness to learn the Secret Voodoo Code by solving what is probably the stupidest new "puzzle" in the 20th Anniversary edition. We also try and get the Voodoo Murders case reopened and have our most intense nightmare yet!

Starman Plays Gabriel Knight: Sins Of The Fathers (20th Anniversary Edition) - Part 10

In which - after another sleepless night with our Uptown girl - we continue our investigation into the voodoo cult and encounter our first chance to die. We also finally gain an audience with Madame Magentia Moonbeam and get to watch her famous snake dance.  Can you say fan-service, boys and girls?

Starman Plays Gabriel Knight: Sins Of The Fathers (20th Anniversary Edition) - Part 9

In which we sell our father's painting to a passing gay stereotype and help a Jewish stereotype to win a chess match with the power of voodoo!  We also get the fastest turn-around time on a piece of custom-ordered jewelry ever and learn the sinister secret of New Orleans' street musicians.

Starman Plays Gabriel Knight: Sins Of The Fathers (20th Anniversary Edition) - Part 8

In which we watch our buddy the cop grill a drug dealer for information on the local voodoo cult, I ponder the sorry state of American newspapers today that allows retired jewelers to advertise on the front page of The New Orleans Times and we go to clean our grandmother's attic.

Look, I know that doesn't sound exciting but let's just be thankful that after three days of petty theft and jackassery we're finally getting to see our hero do something good, okay?!

Starman Plays Gabriel Knight: Sins Of The Fathers (20th Anniversary Edition) - Part 7

In which we add "impersonating a priest" to our lengthy list of sins as we find a use for that clay that has been moldering in our pockets for two days, honestly run into the woman we're stalking by accident and question a gravedigger on the history of Voodoo in New Orleans.

Starman Plays Gabriel Knight: Sins Of The Fathers (20th Anniversary Edition) - Part 6

In which the gods of coincidence aid our attempts to stalk an old lady and we rob a church. Again, I remind you, we're the hero of this game. At least we do some honest writer's research for a change...

Starman Plays Gabriel Knight: Sins Of The Fathers (20th Anniversary Edition) - Part 5

In which our "hero" finally gets around to researching his book. You know? The whole reason he got involved with all these crazy murders in the first place?

For our part, we learn more about real-world Voodoo and New Orleans history than we probably ever needed to know thanks to a helpful curator and I go out of my way to explain away one of the plot holes created by the 20th Anniversary Edition's efforts to railroad the player.

Starman Plays Gabriel Knight: Sins Of The Fathers (20th Anniversary Edition) - Part 4

In which we use stolen police property to more efficiently stalk a woman we've never spoken with and only seen once. We then move on to serious Voodoo research. (i.e. annoying the owner of the Dixieland Drugstore and rubbing something besides ourselves for a change at the Voodoo Museum.)

Starman Plays Gabriel Knight: Sins Of The Fathers (20th Anniversary Edition) - Part 3

In which we catch up with our pal Detective Mosley, engage in some mild sexual harassment  and commit multiple acts of theft.

Again, I remind you, we are the hero of this game.

Starman Plays Gabriel Knight: Sins Of The Fathers (20th Anniversary Edition) - Part 2

In which we annoy our new best friend - Desk Sgt. Frick - and harness the annoying power of mimes to find our old best friend - Detective Mosley. We also meet the woman of our dreams and use our research assistant to stalk her by proxy. Yes, we're a hero. Really.

Starman Plays Gabriel Knight: Sins Of The Fathers (20th Anniversary Edition) - Part 1

In which I briefly discuss the original Gabriel Knight: Sins of The Fathers and its famous (if somewhat strangely cast) voice-actors. From there we give credit where credit is due, I explore the new interface (along with St. George's Books) and we get to know our "hero" Gabriel Knight - womanizer, asshole and occasional author.
